Small changes made today for a sustainable tomorrow
The Blue Bag buried in the ground

1 - - The Blue Bag takes about 180 days to turn back to soil

Using The Blue Bag will ease your conscience knowing that at least 90% of the bag will decompose in about 180 days, leaving behind water, carbon dioxide that was trapped in the corn plant matter, turning it into humus biomass back into the soil. It will not last thousands of years. It does not have polyethylene or phthalates, the chemicals that make plastics more durable, flexible and lasts almost forever. The Blue Bags is designed to be 1.38 mils thick. Meaning we added more material to help it be stronger, yet flexible without it lasting hundreds of years that could potentially clog up our landfills, waterways, or oceans.

Every year, about 500 billion plastic bags are used worldwide. More than 1 million bags are used every minute. Let's make small changes today for our sustainable tomorrow by using The Blue Bag.

How will you use The Blue Bag?

The Blue Bag is strong and durable

Pic 3 - - Just because trash bags are green, it doesn't mean they are good for the environment

The Blue Bag brand of compost trash bags is certified to turn into humus biomass, leaving no microplastics. If your bags do not have these industry standard certifications, you need to ask yourselves, "why not?"

BPI

The Blue Bag is Certified by BPI under U.S. standard ASTM D6400 for industrial compost with certificate #9001058-2; valid until September 30, 2024.

The U.S. does not have an industry standard for home compost, therefore, our bags acquired TÜV Austria's logo using European Union (E.U.) standard EN 13432 and Australia Standard AS 5810-2010.

The Blue Bag is sized as an 8 gallon trash bag

Pic 5 - - Shmedium sized bag that is super thick

19.7” x 23.6” x 1.38mils or 50cm x 60cm x 35µm. It is the thickest on the market, so you don’t have to double bag your food waste after 2 days. This is meant to degrade over time so our behavior must change also in that they are not going to act like a traditional plastic bag made with polyethylene. Once juices from fruits, vegetables, and liquids hit the bag, the decomposition will begin. At 35µm or 1.38mils, that means it is much thicker than our competitor’s bags, thus lasting a little bit longer so you don’t need to double bag.

Use it for your kitchen, bathroom, office, bedroom, cat litter, dog waste collection, camping for portable potty, or just anywhere you need to replace traditional single use plastic that is choking our landfills, waterways, and oceans.
